I'm DeGreer Harris and I plan to pursue a PhD after graduating from undergrad. Afterwards, I hope to pursue a job in the engineering/STEM field or conduct research in an academic environment. I find interest in working with computers and in almost every subject. I also find joy in sports like tennis, cross country, and soccer, especially. Through my high school experience I've been able to experience a lot of things that I've really appreciated. I've enjoyed doing things like competing in math competitions, going to Georgia Science and Engineering Fair, attending 12-hour computer science programs, and playing soccer all the way to the playoffs.

From the beginning |
Where we are now |
I am an Atlanta native. I was born in what is now Emory hospital. I've lived here the entire time and never strayed very far. After kindergarten, I attended Imagine Wesley International Academy until 3rd grade and learned Chinese everyday. During the 3rd grade, I left Imagine Wesley and attended Charles R. Drew Charter School. While I was in 6th grade, it was announced that Drew Charter was creating a high school. I was here as the legacy class of 2017 became the first Drew Charter School graduates. Soon, I will be in their place, as I join the class of 2019 to be the 3rd graduating class.

I've been here for a long time and not only have I seen the school grow and expand, but also through the school I was able to grow and expand. I am now a senior at Charles R. Drew Charter School and have had the pleasure of experiencing the culture of such a tight-knit school that feels like a community.
